The short version

No accounts, no forms, no sign-up. Nothing you type into a calculator is sent anywhere — not the hours, not the dates, not your hourly rate. We count visits with Google Analytics, which never receives a single entry.

What you type

Every calculator runs in your browser. The times, dates, breaks and rates you enter are worked out on your own device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is no form to submit and no server to submit it to — the site is a set of static files.

Nothing you enter is stored on your device either. Closing the tab clears it, unless you made a share link.

Share links

The Share link button writes your entries into the link itself, after the #. Browsers never send that part of a URL to a server, so the entries in a link do not reach us, do not appear in our logs, and are not passed to anyone by your browser.

Anyone you give the link to can read the entries in it, and it does not expire. Treat it like a photo of your timesheet that you have sent to someone.

Server logs

Our web server keeps ordinary logs for each request: the page asked for, the time, the browser's user agent and an IP address. We use them to see that the site is working and to find broken pages. They are kept for 14 days and then deleted, automatically.

Because of how share links work, what someone typed is never in those logs even when they load a share link.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 — property G-WC7RRWDGBX — to count visits and see which calculators people use. It records the address of the page, the time, the country your IP address resolves to, your browser and device type, and a short list of events: a calculation made, a result copied, a share link created, a timesheet printed.

No entry of yours ever reaches Google. The events carry counts, never values — how many rows had hours in them, not what those hours were. And the page address we send has everything after the # removed, so opening a share link does not pass the entries inside it to anyone.

In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied by default: no analytics cookie is set, nothing is stored on your device, and visits are counted without recognising a returning browser. We do not ask for consent, because we do not rely on it. Everywhere else — including the United States — analytics storage is on and Google sets its usual cookies. You can opt out everywhere with Google's own browser add-on, or by blocking the script.

Cookies we set

None of our own. The only cookies that can appear are Google Analytics', and only outside the regions listed above.

Advertising

No advertising runs on this site today, and no advertising script is loaded. Nothing here is shared with an ad network, because there is no ad network.

The intention is to pay for the site with ads later. When that happens this section will name the network, describe the cookies and identifiers it uses and link its policy and opt-out — and it will say so before the first ad appears, not after.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. There is nothing to collect: no account, no form, no entries sent to us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not have your address.
